Privacy
No account, no sign-up, no server. Your calendars stay in iCloud, where they already are.
- Only the times leave your events. Alto Calendar reads when your events are, never what they are called, and writes only busy blocks into one new calendar: no titles, places, guests or notes.
- Sharing is Apple’s. You share the Busy/Free calendar with Apple’s own calendar sharing in iCloud. We never receive your calendar or the names of the people you share it with.
- Calendar access is the one permission it asks for. iOS asks for full access because Alto Calendar both reads your calendars and makes the one you share.
- Contacts are never read. Inviting someone opens Apple’s contact picker, and only the person you pick reaches the app.
- Crash reports. When Alto Calendar crashes or freezes, the report (where in the code it happened, the app and iOS version) is sent to our own diagnostics service. It never contains an event, a calendar or a name.
- Purchases and tips are handled by Apple. We see no card and no Apple Account.
- Only what you send leaves. Feedback you write, and your email if you ask for occasional notes on what is new, go to us only when you send them. Feedback never includes a calendar title, an event or a name.
Questions: contact.
